Craftsmanship

With the exception of the French chairs all of Sasha Waddell Furniture is handmade in England by highly skilled cabinet makers, wood-carvers, painters and upholsterers.

We use traditional methods, whilst always keeping an eye on the present. Our drawers are made up in beech and dovetailed; our knobs are hand turned; our carvings are in tulip wood, our mouldings in beech; and when we feel it is appropriate, we make use of modern technology.

Making furniture is a time-consuming and labour-intensive process, but our craftspeople take great pride in their work.

Finishes

The prices quoted are for the standard Sasha Waddell 10-Colour Palette:
Early White – Green Stone – Limestone – Baltic Blue – Flax – Buttermilk – Baroque Green – French Grey – Atlantic Green – Sea Shore Blue

Any other finishes (e.g. picked-out details, carriage lines, special colours, distressed finishes and painted trellis on headboards) are available on request.

Samples of the Sasha Waddell Colour Palette can be supplied on request.

NB All our French Chairs come with a distressed finish only as standard, in the following colours:
Old White – Antique White – Antique Grey – Antique Green

As all our final finishes are painted by hand, the colour and finish may vary slightly from batch to batch.

Timber

Most of the Sasha Waddell Furniture range can be manufactured in different timbers – eg bleached oak, maple, mahogany. Prices are available on request.

All our timber comes from sustainable sources in managed forests in North America and Europe.

Measurements

Measurements are accurate to a tolerance of +/- 1cm (3/8”). Please call if you require internal measurements.

Custom Made Furniture

We are happy to produce items such as dining tables, chests of drawers, cabinets, sofas and occasional tables to specified sizes. Written quotations will be provided. However, orders for special items require a 60% deposit.

Beds and Mattresses

All our mattresses are handmade to the highest specifications. We can also make up special sizes (prices on request).
Headboards and Beds: please specify whether the center panel is to be upholstered, caned or solid, and supply the size of the mattress to be used.

Fabrics

Prices quoted for chairs and sofas include the cost of upholstery, but not the fabrics. We supply a fire retardant barrier cloth, complying with current UK Fire Regulations for upholstery, on all chairs and sofas at no extra cost.

We have a large range of fabrics to choose from. Fabric amounts stated in the brochure are for plain fabrics only. If you have a pattern, we will work out how much extra fabric you will require.

Handmade Items

Each item of Sasha Waddell Furniture is hand crafted. The individuality of this production process means that exact colours and sizes of some items may vary slightly from their description.
